Watch Ulethu 'Ingoma Yakho' Music Video

Ulethu dances to the beat of her lover's heart in the visuals for 'Ingoma Yakho'...

Gugulethu Garwe a.k.a Ulethu has been knwon as one of the prominent voices from local radio station, Capitalk FM, but she also sings. Ulethu delivers a high tempo love smasher entitled 'Ingoma Yakho', her first single off her EP. Written by Ulethu, the Afro house track takes listeners into Ulethu as a singer-songwriter.

The visuals were directed and shot by Andy Cutta who gives colour and aerial views in the video. Shot in a plush and green scenery, Ulethu romanticizes the music video with hand in hand walks, playful and flirty gestures. She adds Afrocentric attire to the video to suit the vibe.

Takura Reveals #SHTDi Album Cover and Release Date

Takura Sets A Standard With the Album Cover for #SHTDi...

Days after releasing the visuals for 'Mai Mwana', Takura revealed his album artwork and release date. This will be Mr Okay, Okay's debut album which will is titled 'Someone Had To Do It' or simply #SHTDi.

The album is scheduled to be released on the 13th of April, the same month in which his daughter April was born.

#SHTDi is Takura's first LP since going solo in 2016. The former Soul Afrika member and now R&B/trap soul artist has had a string of hits since 2016. In 2016 he released his first EP 'Stripped' which was followed by 'Relationship Goals' in 2017. To date his biggest singles include Zino Irema, MaObama, Mungandii?and Mhofu Mekenyenye, as well as his feature on Tamy's 'Beautiful (Ndozvandiri).

The album has 18 tracks with Cog Beatz, Kiva Q Kill, Santilous, Desire and Rayo Beats on the production. Featured artists include Jnr Brown, upcoming artists Rachel Makaranga, C…

Gemma Griffiths Brings 'My Town' EP to Harare

Gemma Griffiths launches her music in her town....

In between living in three cities- Zimbabwe, Cape Town and London, Gemma Griffiths has found time to focus and complete a project. Gemma released the visuals for the first single of the EP 'Irony' from her loft in Cape Town.

On Friday 6 April 2018, Gemma will be releasing her EP titled 'My Town'. Off the project, the contemporary musician will release the title single off the project. The event will be held in Harare

 In launching my EP it was important to me to host an event in each city to celebrate with the people who have been such important parts of this amazing journey.

2018 SAFTAs Winners List

South African film and television celebrated the crème de la crème of the industry.

The 12th annual South African Film and Television Awards (SAFTAs) ceremony held at Sun City on 24 March 2018. The biggest weekend of the awards kicked off on Thursday when the first awards were handed.

The star-studded event red carpet,  was hosted by Kuli Roberts and Rorisang Thandekiso, while the ceremony was hosted by Thando Thabete and Phat Joe.

This year's theme was 'Our Stories Are Gold' in honour of "those who have captured our hearts, minds and imaginations through the telling of our unique stories." The Saftas also honoured Nelson Mandela’s centenary.

Watch: Takura 'Mai Mwana' Music Video

Takura gives the first music video off the 'Relationship Goals' EP...

'Mai Mwana' has been Takura's most popular single off his follow up to 2016's 'Stripped EP'.

The Youngnash produced single finds Mr Okay, Okay praise his 'wifey'. The music video opens with an aerial view of a green scenery, before moving to Takura and loved up scenes.

Takura gives relationship goals as he helps out bae by sweeping the house. There are scenes of Takura's love interest, cooking and hosting guests. The music video was directed by Andy Cutta.

The music video shows a clean background with white walls alternating with a red car, in the forest.

Album Releases Chloe x Halle "The Kids Are Alright"

Beyoncé's protege's are ready to show the world their musical talent on an LP...

R&B sister duo Chloe and Halle Bailey released their debut album, 'The Kids Are Alright'. The 18-track album features from Goldlink, Joey Bada$$ and Kari Faux. The album boasts of pre-released singles such as the Grown-ish theme song 'Grown', their debut single 'Drop' and the title track 'The Kids Are Alright'. Chloe and Halle caught the attention of their idol Beyoncé, leading her to sign them to her record label, Parkwood Entertainment. The now 19 and 17 year old have made buzz with performances at the BET awards as well as featuring in the Lemonade visuals. Iconic Rapper Craig Mack Dies

'Flava in Ya Ear' Rapper Craig Mack Dies at 47

The former Bad Boy Records rapper Craig Mack,  died Monday night at his home in Walterboro, South Carolina, Colleton County coroner Richard Harvey confirmed to Variety. Reports concluded that Mack had died of natural causes.

Diddy released a statement on Mack’s passing, saying:

"Craig Mack, you were the first artist to release music on Bad Boy and gave us our first hit. You always followed your heart and you had an energy that was out of this world. You believed in me and you believed in Bad Boy. I will never forget what you did for hip-hop. You inspired me and will continue to inspire us. We will always love you. #badboy4life#ripcraigmack"

The Winners of the Inaugural Zim Blog Awards and

The inaugural Zim Bloggers Awards were held on Friday 9 March 2018. The event was  held at Moto Republik in Harare.

The event saw bloggers from all over converge to celebrate each other. The event was hosted by radio and TV personality Butterphly.

Organised by the Tribe of Influencers, the event had a relaxed atmosphere. Sponsors were ZOL Zimbabwe and Fine & Country. Winners were awarded ZOL gift packages as well as some receiving mentorship deals.

The biggest winner of the awards was Larry Kwirirayi who won 'Podcast of the Year' and representing Three Men on a Boat in the Entertainment category. Other big names in blogging include Bustop TV, Kinking it With Mimi, Tanya Nefertari and 263 Chat also walked away with awards.

2018 Nominees for the Zim Achievers Awards UK

Zimbos in he UK can roll out the carpet for Zim Achievers Awards...

The Zimbabwe Achievers Awards (ZAA) announced the nominees for the UK edition. The nominees were announced through live streaming.

In partnership with London Fintech Company, WorldRemit nominees of the eighth edition were announced at a press conference held at the WorldRemit headquarters in London. There are over 85 nominees across 17 categories.

Olinda Chapel is nominated in tworder  categories. Popolar musicians Kazz and the Kambo Boys are up against each other for the music Awards.  Newcomer and The Voice UK contestant Donel Mangena iand nominated in the new category 'Brearthrough Award'.

New Music: Tafara and Don Cavelle featuring Gerrard 'Chipo Changu'

In celebration of their debut single “Sarura Wako” which was released exactly two years back, Tafara and Don Cavelle release this new song dedicated to their significant others.

The song is back on their actual lives, as the two delve deep on how they view their partners. Gerrard lends a hand as he serenades the chorus with vocals, and Victor Enlisted is on production credits.The song samples the classic song ‘Chipo Changu’ by the legendary Thomas Mapfumo.

This is the second single off their upcoming EP dropping later in 2018.

The video is deep as it visits relationships in the 21st century. There is sequenced movements as people swipe their phones as well as choreography.  Brian depicts the dating scene through waltzes with some of the female characters although she stumbles and falls.

Mr Kamera and Simba Tagz have finally released their music video for Netflix & Chill. After promoting the visuals, Kamera and Tagz share a night in London.

The music video is simple shot from a boat. However the video is too simple for such a dope song. The night view of London from the docks is lovely but there's no storyline.

Kamera and Tagz are just moving about the boat and dock. They seem to be having fun though.

Bulawayo Arts Awards 2018 Call for Nominations

Nominations for the 2nd Edition of the Bulawayo Arts Awards opened last Friday and will close on April 13 2018, and the final nominees will be announced at a Nominees will be announced on April 27.

Following the success of last year’s event, the Bulawayo Arts Awards (BAA) are back in 2018 bigger, better and ready to celebrate the arts. The 2018 edition was launched on Friday at Bulawayo Club with the award ceremony slated for May 26 at the Large City Hall.

The second edition of the BAA’s has 12 categories, with 10 new awards taking the total number of gongs to 50 from last year’s 40.Tthe new additions include Outstanding Gospel Artist/Act, Outstanding Playwright, Outstanding Arts Educator, Outstanding Schools Effort for Primary schools, Outstanding Visual Artist (Three Dimensional), Outstanding Literary Work (Non Fiction), Outstanding Female Model and the Outstanding Club DJ award.

Jay Z Tops Forbes Wealthiest Hip Hop Artists of 2018

Diddy takes a bow as Jay Z tops the Forbes list...

Forbes has named Jay-Z as the wealthirst hip hop artist of 2018. Hov's net worth has jumped from $810m to $900m (£590m - £655m) in the past year, according to Forbes.

The magazine's list of wealthiest hip-hop stars began in 2011.

Diddy fell to second on the list with a value of $825m (£600m) with Dr. Dre in third.

Dre's headphones brand Beats continues to push up his bank account.

Eminem is in joint fourth with Canadian musician Drake - the only non-US rapper on the list.

2018 Zimbabwe Achievers Awards South Africa Nominees

It's time to celebrate Zimbabweans in South Africa...

Nominees for the 2018 South African edition of the Zimbabwe Achievers Awards (ZAA) have been announced. Organisers of the high-profile event announced over 60 nominees across 14 categories on Wednesday. Voting lines are open on Thursday 1 March for a month.

Rapper Nadia Nakai has two nominations for the Artist of the Year
and People’s Choice categories. Producer and artist Mr Kamera is also nominated for the Artist of the Year category. MTV VJ and model Kim Jayde is nominated for personality of the year. Superstars Oliver Mtukudzi and Jah Prayzah are nominees in the Event of the Year category.

Winners will be revealed at a gala dinner scheduled for 7 April in Sandton, Johannesburg. WorldRemit, Fastjet, Africa Medallion Group and Zimbabwe Consolidators were unveiled as the sponsors for the forthcoming edition.
